Dental hygiene is an important part of how Dr Cave at Dayton Dental promotes oral care and oral disease prevention. The dental hygienists help plan the care of the teeth, by educating patients about their oral health. They provide information about preventive care-to ensure good dental health now and in the future. They give proper instruction on brushing and flossing your teeth, as well as information on nutrition and overall health habits. Your Dayton Dental hygienist will help screen for oral cancer and will take x-rays for the doctor's analysis and diagnosis involving your teeth and surrounding tissues.

For people with good healthy gums, these visits will be about every six months.
